What a difference one year makes!
Attempted the Moonlight Run 6k for the second time and noticed so many improvements! Only stopped once, as composed to twice every kilometer or so, and I actually somehow made it up the hill by jogging. Not to mention, I’m feeling lighter on my feet after maintaining my weight loss staying nearly 30lbs lighter than I was last year (I bet you can guess which pictures is from tonight!)
This year, I pretty much crushed my goals. I’ll put all of last year’s stats in brackets so you can see how much I’ve improved!
- Crossed finish line with 38:40.85 (45:30.05)
- 6:38min pace (7:46min)
- 388th/1646 place overall!! (819/1688)
- 15th/75 in my category (41/67)
- 173rd/1078 for all females (489/1152)
So proud I could cry. I would have never been able to do this without my wonderful boyfriend (whom I got back together with last night) backing me up and running with me the whole way (and somehow finishing .2sec faster than me lol). I feel like I’m walking on air, but that might just be the runner’s high!
Not bad for someone who forgot about training for the race until this past Monday!
Next year’s goals:
Either complete the 10k or be competitive in the 6k and place in the top 10.
Thanks so much to everyone for their support, especially these devastating past couple of days. Love you all to bits!
